A division of Hamble Yacht Services Ltd, HYS Universal is located at Universal Marina on the Eastern Shore of the Hamble River, approximately half a mile upstream from Hamble Yacht Services and operates as an integral part of the Universal Marina Facility.
Operation of the company
HYS Universal operates in close association with Hamble Yacht Services and as a full service boatyard facility and offers the same important services as HYS in Hamble.
Boat lifting and Moving machinery & Dry Sailing
We have a 60 ton "Wise Lift" operating from a new lifting quay. For Dry Sailing and ease of moving and storing smaller boats we have a dedicated tractor and 15 ton Knipjstra Boatmover with adjustable cradles. For mast unstepping and most lifting requirements we have a 12 ton mobile crane.
Types of work undertaken
Full Osmosis treatment, boatbuilding and fibreglass repairs, spray painting and antifoul application, engineering and electrical work, full rigging assessment and services including replacement - All rigging services are provided through HYS Rigging
