Boat Repair & Refit
Hamble Yacht Services is one of the most renowned boat yards in the world, and this is largely due to the reputation and facilities offered by our Boat Refit and Repair workshop. No job is too big or too small whether you need emergency boat repair work or an extensive yacht refit.
Boat Refit and Restoration
Over the years we have managed yacht and boat refit projects for some of the most prestigious yachts and motorboats, as well as high profile race boats and round the world charter fleets. From the initial survey and quote through to project management and quality control we can look after every aspect of your yacht restoration or refit from start to finish.
Yacht and Boat Repair
Our expert and experienced refit and repair team can undertake emergency boat repair work on all fibreglass (GRP) and carbon fibre yachts. From collisions and groundings to general wear and tear, we can get your yacht or motorboat back on the water quickly and efficiently.
We also have lots of experience working with classic timber yacht restorations and timber yacht repairs including everything from topside planking replacement and re-painting to installing modern luxuries and fittings such as bow thrusters.
Gelcoat that is subject to harsh environments and lots of use can get scratched and chipped over time. If your Gelcoat needs repairing, we will grind back the area of damage, build up a new colour matched recoat and polish up to a smooth finish so that the repair is virtually invisible
Through Hull Fittings
We regularly fit and service a variety of through-hull fittings including engine intake, heads intake and air conditioning fittings. We also fit log transducers. Due to corrosion and damage, through-hull fittings normally need to be serviced and replaced every few years so we provide servicing on all through-hull fittings as part of our Winterisation Package.
The Hamble Yacht Services boat building team boasts an impressive portfolio of projects that it has undertaken throughout the years. Previous projects include traditional timber boat building and composite boat building – glass, reinforced plastic, GRP, carbon fibre and kevlar.
Superstructure Service and Repair
Boat superstructures require regular maintenance to prevent damage over time. However, if some attention and repair work is required on the superstructure of your motor boat or yacht, we have the skills and knowledge to fix it.
