HYS Universal is located at Universal Marina on the Eastern Shore of the Hamble River, approximately half a mile upstream from Hamble Yacht Services and operates as an integral part of the Universal Marina Facility.
If ever opposites attract its Port Hamble and Universal Marina. 5 years ago our successful Port Hamble operation set up a full service yard facility to mirror that which has run so successfully at Port Hamble.
Our team of riggers, boat builders, joiners, engineers, electricians, painters, and workshop staff, operate from this fully equipped site, along with our busy and friendly team of dedicated crane and lift operators who handle all boat movements for the 260 berth marina.
However that's where the similarities stop. Whilst Port Hamble boasts a world wide repuation, Universal is probably the best kept secret on the river. The most peaceful and tranquil of environments is in juxtaposition with the serious businesses that hide within its green surroundings. Most of the land is set aside for nature, but 10 acres of it has been transformed to a yard and marina facility second to none.
Universal Marina also is home to a chandlery, bar and restaurant and has adequate laundry facilities for visiting boats and crew.
Charge out rates
Standard hourly charges for labour.
Fixed fees for boat lifts/launches, mast stepping and antifoul application.
